1. Scope and website operator

This policy covers CalcBrick's construction calculators and guides, not independently operated websites linked from them. “We” means the CalcBrick website operator. Public calculators do not require a visitor account. We do not provide public registration, checkout or comment-submission features.

2. Information processed

Calculator inputs: measurements, material values and editable prices are calculated in your browser. The calculator code does not send input values or results to our application server.
Device storage: your unit preference stays in your browser. Selecting “Save result” stores up to 25 results locally, not in a cloud account.
Technical records: hosting, network and security providers may process IP address, requested URL, browser details, request time and response status to deliver and protect the website. Retrieving a page is separate from performing a calculation.
Messages: if you email us, your email provider and ours process your address, message and attachments. Include only information needed for your request.
Administrator data: restricted management features process profile information, password hashes, signed sessions and editorial activity. Public calculator use requires no administrator session.

3. Purposes and legal grounds

Information is used to deliver tools, remember requested settings, answer messages, investigate errors and prevent unauthorized access. We do not intentionally use calculator inputs to create advertising profiles.

Where a legal basis is required, processing may rely on providing a requested service, legitimate interests in secure operation, consent for optional technologies, or legal obligations. The applicable basis depends on the purpose and jurisdiction. Browsing alone is not consent to optional advertising cookies.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies may be sent with browser requests; local storage is separate storage that is not automatically sent to the server. We use local storage for unit preferences and saved results, and a signed cookie for restricted administrator access. Our Cookie Policy identifies application storage, duration and removal options.

No standalone visitor analytics service is bundled with the current site. Additional services must be disclosed if introduced.

5. Google AdSense and advertising

Advertising is currently disabled in the site settings. The application does not load its AdSense script while disabled. The following disclosures apply if advertising is activated.

When advertising is active, Google and participating third-party vendors may use cookies or similar identifiers to select ads based on previous visits to this website and other websites. Google advertising cookies can support personalized advertising by Google and its partners.

Advertising providers can receive page URLs, IP addresses, browser characteristics and advertising identifiers for delivery, measurement and fraud prevention. Non-personalized ads should not be assumed to involve no cookies or personal-data processing.

Opt-out tools apply to participating services and browsers and do not necessarily remove all ads. Where a consent message is available, use its privacy-options controls to review vendors and withdraw consent. This policy does not claim that a consent platform is operating.

Before activating ads, the operator must configure required consent controls, vendor disclosures and withdrawal mechanisms. Google has certified consent-platform requirements for the EEA, UK and Switzerland. Optional technologies must respect applicable consent requirements.

6. Sharing and international processing

Hosting, network, security, email and enabled advertising providers may process information necessary for their services. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to investigate abuse and protect legitimate rights. We do not sell calculator inputs collected by the calculator application.

Providers may process information outside your country. Applicable transfer safeguards depend on provider arrangements and law; we do not promise that data remains in a particular country. External websites have their own privacy practices.

7. Retention and safeguards

Local preferences and results remain until removed, overwritten or cleared by your browser. The administrator login cookie expires after eight hours. Messages and operational records are retained as reasonably necessary for their purpose, security and legal requirements; provider retention also depends on deployed settings.

We restrict administrator access and protect login sessions, but no online service is completely secure. Do not submit confidential drawings or identification documents in unsolicited messages. We cannot remotely delete information stored solely on your device.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You can clear browser storage, manage cookies, avoid saving results and adjust available advertising settings. Depending on applicable law and exceptions, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection or withdrawal of consent. Withdrawal does not undo previously lawful processing.

Contact us to make a request. Proportionate identity verification may be necessary; requests are handled within applicable legal time limits. Where applicable, you may complain to your local data-protection authority. Charges are not applied unless permitted by law.

9. Children and updates

CalcBrick is a general construction-planning resource, not a service directed at children. We do not knowingly solicit children's personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied such information.

We update this policy when processing changes. The date above identifies this revision. Publishing a revised policy does not replace any required notice or renewed consent.
